Thanks Fla.Gypsy, Will give you a report when we complete our volunteer gig. Wish we could have a camp fire at this park but I understand they are still under a fire ban.

Happy Camping!

I have not Vol there, but camped there many times with the Boy Scouts. Its a great park on the inland water way. Lots of trees. There used to be a ranger that lived on site, but I think he retired and they use camp hosts now. Its close to the town of Niceville and Valpariso. You can take the Bay bridge to Destin Beach, which are the best beaches in the world.

Hello To All,

Update We should be pulling out of homebase heading down to Rocky Bayou this Thursday. Does anyone on this forum have information concering how this park held up against the weather from GUSTAV? I heard they closed SUNDAY and MONDAY just for safety sake. As a precautionary measure we will also call the ranger before departing to get his input however at present he is very busy and has not answered is cell.

Happy Camping
