Not this weekend. Last weekend we tried a different local campground about 30 miles away. It was a nice change from our usual spot. It had fewer spaces (13 vs. 39) and the host actually enforced quiet hours. We had the best spot in the campground for privacy but it also seemed to be the windiest spot. Figures!
Next weekend we are going to Valley of the Rogue in Oregon and for Labor Day we are spending 4 nights at Spring Lake in Santa Rosa, CA.

Not this weekend, but hopefully next weekend we will be at Georgia Veterans State Park. All winter you will see me posting where we will be camping, but we pay for it in the summer. We have not been camping since early June.

I am now on my first trip this year. Didn't go far, less than 100 miles from home. Took my grandson for a few days away. I've been busy at work and couldn't put together more than 3 days until now. But I found the best place for kids that I've gone to so far. Splash Magic in Northumberland, PA. Don't have to leave the campground, lots of activities for the kids and friendly people. Love it. Thinking of a seasonal next year here. Even free Wifi.

It's all good. As I mentioned before, we have just done some local shakedown "camps" but the TT is suiting us to a T. We're going to have some good camping experiences in this thing. It has two slides---Sweet!
We are in the middle of a bunch of local camping sites so we have been trying it out, but not this weekend. Maybe on Labor Day weekend, but then everybody and their brother and his brother-in-law will be out! So probably no spots since we haven't thought to reserve. But just local camping is great, even if we do it in the backyard!

Woo Hoo,
Free WiFi and the kids are busy! Ahhhhh, what a life. Are the kids pretty much in sight when they are busy at the activities or do you have someone who will take them for you? When the kids were little, my wife and I used to borrow my uncle and aunt's class A and take another family so we could kind of trade kids so each couple had a little time to breathe. Made for a much nicer time for all of us!

It is always a very short camping season here in Minnesota, so we plan as many camping trips as we can from May to through September. We actually have no plans this weekend, but we will be camping 4 weekends out of the next 6 weekends. All of the places we tried to make reservations for have been booked for almost 4 months ahead of time.
This is our first year with our new Jayco Jayflight 25RKS, so we are trying make the most of it this year.
I thank everyone for all the information and suggestions that I have received from this forum. It has made a big difference on how much we have learned.
Safe Travels and HAPPY CAMPING TO ALL!!!!!

Traveling to Natural Bridge, VA to meet aunt & uncle and camp for the weekend. They actually got us interested in camping, so I guess it will be a yearly tradition as long as they are able to make the trip.
