Hi..
We've been all over Cisco Grove area several times, Iron Mountain Road (Placerville area - but a pain because of enforced restrictions on parking and getting from trail to trail)...and of course, Prarie City..
So, any other suggestions for riding - prefer easy to moderate as I'm a whimp... so no big rock climbing please...
THANKS

x2... tons of beautiful riding, and some technical. The LEO up there is highly tolerant of OHV traveling short distance on hwy to access trails, and anywhere on the USFS roads. Many things to see from ghost towns to lakes to volcanic craters... One of my favorite spots anywhere.

More trails that you can imagine.
I met the BLM LEO from Bishop and the USFS Ranger in the area, both nice and informative.

Carson Valley, Minden NV. Take Johnson lane to end of road "dirt". You can ride for miles. Watch for deer, bear, cougar, wild horses, rabbits, quail, and rattlers.

How would you rate their tolerance as far as no helmet or two on a quad? Wife likes to double with me and we would rather not wear helmets as we are just sight-seeing. Thanks.

Not a good idea, two up without helmets is asking for a ticket. Sightseeing or not it is illegal and most BLM rangers will be all over you. For the sake of our sport please do not intentially break the law.

NOT TOO COOL, Mr coolbreeze01

I doubt they would have any "tolerance" for breaking the Helmet law.
You could ride double only if the ATV is rated to carry 2 passengers.

I've heard through someone that they were hassled recently on USFS roads by local rangers off of 108 for riding 2 up on a 2 up quad. They were told it's not allowed even though there's a 2 up sticker on the quad.

Anyone else hear this too?
