Just returned from Fillmore Glen St. Park in Moravia NY. It appears a kitty was left there maybe 2 weeks ago & is looking for her family. She is the FRIENDLIEST little kitty I've seen. She is all black & wearing a green flea collar. I talked to the camp staff & was told she has been there about 2 weeks staying around campsites 50, 51 & 52. I named her Fillmore. She is looking for her previous owners or a new home to adopt. Wish we could have kept her, but we already have a 20 yr old cat who would be extremely jealous. Hope she finds a good home. This cat has been well cared for & deserves a good home.

Some people just should not be allowed to live with the rest of us. They do not realize how tramazied an indoor animal is when just dumped to live on it's own outdoors. You do not want to know what my punishment for animal dumpers is.

I hope Im reading you right and the campground owners are taking the kitties in till they find a forever home? I agree with Txiceman. Some humans deserved to be dumped.

You know your 20 year old cat would adjust, it may take some time as all established cats are jealous.
Just where is this park?
Did the owners say what would happen to this kitty when fall comes and they have to close up for the winter?

Hey Sher.... I know you love black cats. Hummmmm?! Perhaps it's time for a trip to that campground?! I know, I know, your house is FULL just like mine so I understand, but perhaps you can do something like contact a feline rescue organization or something.... hope... hope....I certainly hope someone takes action so that sweet little kitty doesn't suffer and be so lonely & scared any longer.

Yes Cat, I have been thinking...especially when fall gets here and it might be left behind...oh I do love black cats that's for sure but I can't do another. We'll be leaving for florida in Jan. when Doug retires and my three are going to be taken care of by my DD and she already has two....but I'm thinking.

That is how we got Jayco & Smores. They were found as strays at 8 weeks old in the campground we were at & the office had a sign saying free kittens. Well I took one look & knew they were going home with me. We had 2 other cats & worried how they would accept them. The furbabies had to be locked in the bathroom for a few months due to parasites & the other cats could sniff under the door. When we let them out all went well. Now they are 3 & rule the home. So glad I took a chance & took them home.
Good luck & hope this little kitten finds a home.
