There's a special kind of bonding with this kind of true rescue. We're all fortunate if we get the chance even once in a lifetime. Lucky you and lucky Chuay, he will pay you back a thousand fold. I hope his eye can be saved, it looks good in the photo. He'll be a beautiful big cat soon.

After Chuay raced around scattering the mail all over the floor I managed to get some nice pictures of him.

In some of these you can see his left eye better, the 3rd eyelid is receding a little more each day, however, the milky haze continues to stay.
The Vet told me that Chuay has a scratch on his cornea and this is why it is taking his left eye so long to heal. I honestly pray at night hoping that the eye can be saved, even if he can't see out of it. But if the answer is no and his eye has to be removed he would still look handsome and dashing.

What a very lucky, very adorable little kitten, I hope he knows how very lucky he is...I'm sure he does.
Me, I'd like to get my hands on that Tom, any idea who this kitten belongs to, I mean before, I know he's your now, for sure, there's probably more siblings that weren't so luck.
You did real good sister shotgun, he's very lucky to have you.

Sher I know where the Tom lives, and it is a very sad situation. A man across the street takes in feral cats and feeds them, this is all he does. He does not have them altered nor do any of them have their shots. Myself and many of my neighbors have called Animal Control and complained. I called Animal Control the day I found Chuay and they went over to investigate. I am sad to say that the momma cat and 4 other kittens were found dead in the back yard
All of the cats over there are Siamese, mostly pure-breds, so it is quite possible the Vet is right that Chuay could be a Blue Lynx Point Siamese and not a mix.
I have not seen any cats across the street so hopefully Animal Control managed to trap and remove the remaining cats. At one point the man had over 30 cats running wild through the neighborhood.
Chuay may be the only surviving kitten of that litter.

I hope you will call Animal Control, the Humane Society, & the SPCA EVERY day until they do something about the other dozens of cats/kittens that must be suffering due to the kind of neglect your new kitten at one time suffered from....it's a real pity when people "own" large number of animal in those kind of conditions and it just so happens to be against the law. Please call any & all resources until something is done! Please remember that feral cats hide and there are likely many of them still around, whether you see them or not.
Saving one is noble indeed, putting an end to the suffering would be even more so.
Good luck!
