I had made up my mind for an Instaboat but now Camping World has removed them from their order site.
I guess a PortaBoat would work but I hear they are horribly expensive. I have to send them my name, rank, serial number and skivvy size before they will even quote me a price!! 
So now I am reduced to a blow up boat. Are there any out there that work any better than trying to paddle around in a truck innertube?? And will still fit in a TRUCK CAMPER? Thanks.......DJ

Do you want a boat that will last or one that you have to baby when putting it in the water? The Porta-bote is indestructible. The blowups will sink the first sharp stick it hits underwater or a sharp rock launching it.
I vote for Porta-bote.

I'm confused, what is the difference between a Porta-Boat and a blow up boat? I talked to a guy just yesterday, he really liked his "blow up type boat" because it was so comfortable on his back. He had a tiny electric trolling motor. What a life!!

I have an Airhead rated for Class 3 rapids. So far, I have gone over rocks, reeds, sticks, and even use it for fishing. Never even a hint of a leak.

Your scope of knowledge is the non fabric PVC swimming pool type boats. Learn about hypalon or PVC and you will realize they will not just "pop" at the hint of a stick or rock or even a #2 streamer hook

Go downtown and visit AIRE...almost all of the whitewater boat manufacturers are represented in Idaho. AIRE makes inflatable "canoes" as well as kayaks. I'm sure the other are doing similar boats

We just purchased an older porta-bote on eBay for $600.
We camped this summer with a couple who purchased a Zodiac Blow-up raft on Craigs List for $500. They also purchased a used motor via Craigs List.

I vote for Porta-bote. I am a member of the Porta-bote Group over at Yahoo and believe me from what's posted there, they are NOT indestructible.
Modern inflatable boats are also MUCH stronger then the pool-toy types you seem to be referring to. The Marines even use them to go into combat.

Take a look at this
line up. I have one of their inflatables that I have used for over 15 years in rivers, lakes, swamps, rapids, and have never had a leak. Even let my brother in law use it and it still works!
