So I was involved in a movie and saw Tiny over "playing" with something,, throwing it up and catching it,, time or two.. Looked like one of the stuffed mice we have here.. but she walked off from it and I went to check it.. it as NOT a toy mouse!! Was a full size field mouse, deader than a door nail and gutted!! That is unusual for Tiny as she rarely brings in anything, but she caught this one outside I bet at the wood pile and brought it to me.. Good grief,, I wrapped it up and put in the outside trash can... Good kitty.

Basset just watched.

GOOD kitty! Once when I was also involved in watching a movie, I thought it was 1 of our 3 cats had come over to my feet for some attention, so I absently minded reached down and gave a few strokes..... to a squirel! I don't know who was more suprised, but we were both up & moving quickly! LOL He had wandered in thru a sliding screen door the dog had left ajar.

Our kitty, Dawg, is a prolific mouse catcher. When we first moved to this house in the country 2 years ago there were alot of mice, but I haven't seen one in the house now for over a year.

We've found that in the summer he rarely eats any cat food (except on rainy days). A 10 lb bag will last for months. However, he is definitely in great condition, not overweight or underweight, fur is soft and shiny.... the vet says that the "natural" diet is good for him.

He also likes to catch chipmunks. About 6 weeks ago or so I went to make the bed one morning and found a dead chipmunk in the middle of it. A gift from Dawg?

Must be great. I live in a mobile home and at the time had 3 cats. one would catch mice when he was outside. Well I had a mouse in my trailer he was in the spare bedroom, made a nest in a box of stuff, used my Elvis What Happened book and a pantleg from my 1977 Elvis doll. Nobody bothered, I had to put a trap in the cupboard and when it went off it must have scared him and I never heard him in the mobile again. Three lazy cats they were!!!!!

You need to get a terrier, we had a mouse in the house MacDuff took off after it and had it in 3 seconds flat.

Don't really want MacDuff to kill things but a mouse in the house is fair game.

Koko dog was our mouser. Whenever one would get into the house, she would hunt them and I saw her catch two. One she took into the living room and let go. Had to rehunt that one and didn't do the release trick again. She never left them as a present, but I did see her run out of the house with a tail sticking out of her mouth!!! We have 2 cats that only do moles!! Specialized I guess.
