A few years ago now I was setting on our lawn watching a deer and her yearling mosey along our split rail nibbling on wife's roses, none of us aware that the cat was anywhere nearby.
Apparently the yearling got wind of the cat and started wandering over toward the bush the cat was hiding under. About halfway across the divide the cat dashed out, stood up, and made a swipe at the yearling's nose.
At which point the yearling "wheeled" toward me and ran directly at me at high speed. Finally noticing me it wheeled again to run another 10 yards at right angles to me.
At that point it stopped, turned, and walked slowly back to the cat to touch noses....
