Either the remote or the control board for the wireless jacks on my 2002 Lance 835 bit the dust. I am trying to find someone near me, Lexington SC that will lend me a remote to try on my control board so I can figure out which one is gone. Has anyone dealt with Gamma Electronics or Rv Trader on Ebay? Their prices are much better than my local rv dealers. There was a recall on my remote several years back and I am waiting for a reply from Atwood. Any help or advice will be much Appreciated.

my remote failed a few months back. It worked only on a couple of jacks the other keys were dead. Find your control board and swap out the wires for the four jacks to see whether its the board or the remote. Process of elimination to make diagnosis. Be careful working with electricity.

I have the same problem in that the extend function on all four buttons died. I attended the Mid Atlantic TC Rally and borrowed a remote and found that all jacks functioned properly. Conclusion; bad remote. Knowing that the retract function still works, to extend the jacks, I reverse the jack motor plug where it plugs into the camper, press the retract button and "WALA!"; the jacks extend. Whoda thunkit! Returning the plug to it's factory position reinstates
the retract function. I may never buy a new remote. ... LT

I ordered a replacement remote from Gamma Electronics for $50. None of my jacks will move up or dowm. If that dont fix it, I will order the board next. It has to be the transmitor in the remote or the receiver in the board. I emailed Atwood 4 days ago and still have no reply. My remote was recalled 5 years ago. It would be nice if they honored the recall, but asking for a free replacement five years later is pushing it. TrvsDad1, Thanks for the reminder about being careful with electricity. I am a master electrician and have dealt with it daily for nearly 30 years. 12 volts dc can kill under the right circumstances.

Did you order this one: Gama Electronics Generic RF Controller?

Yes thats the one I ordered. I emailed Gama and was told that this is the replacement for the Atwood controller. It has not arrived yet due to Paypal dragging their feet on payment to Gamma. I will post the good or bad results when the controller arrives. I also emailed Atwood, but still no response from them.

I recieved my remote from Gama Electronics today. Works great. But now I found that the relay on the control board to one jack is bad. Board is on order. I finally recieved a reply from Atwood after two emails to them. Sue Noyes reply was that Atwood has never had a recall on their remotes and that I must have been misinformed. That must mean that at least three members on this board are liars. My repy to her is that Atwood can keep their products and I will do business elsewhere.

Great that you found such a low cost replacement: I may even want to consider a spare for that price!
Sue may be right. I have followed the posts on the Atwood Wireless Jacks since I started on this forum. There were some member concerns that an earlier model of the remote was prone to failure (I have the newer model circa 2002) and have not received or heard of any recall notices in the postings or in person.
