a 100 ft isnt to far to run septic if the slope is right, put in some clean outs,i would run water ,telephone and cable tv also along with power its worth it in the long run,or run some pvc threw the cement floor to run your stuff threw later if your not going to do it now.

I say build whatever the Hell you want and forget about it. Better to ask forgiveness than permission I say. At the same time do your best to be reasonable. One of my neighbors drew up two sets of plans, one was 7/8ths size for the County and the other was 9/8ths for the actual construction (for his house!!). He built it 20 years ago and nobody the wiser.

Here in Santa Clara County in the Peoples Republic of California they still allow us to build "Agricultural Barns" with very minor restrictions as long as they are not noted in the permitting process as "Shop" "Garage" or other potentially incriminating name. We can have a bathroom with septic but no kitchen or living area can be on the submitted plans.

Plan your concrete slab to have a very gentle slope into the center with a drain there, or perhaps two equally spaced front and back of the length. Don't make it too dramatic or you will regret it.

Just my two bits worth.

aside from all the other good advice, make sure you can open your slides and storage doors once inside. My garage is 16' at the base, 14" wide 14' up and the angle makes the service center door hit the wall as i park so I can open my door. My kingdom for another 18" wide!

I like the macerator idea and definetly place the lights around the side so you won't be lighting the ceiling. Yes, build it the way you want it and make yourself happy. Good Luck and Safe Miles

If you think you might use it in the winter, put a grid of pex tubing, about 6 250ft lengths, for a radiant floor heating system. Even if you don't think you will need heat, a LOT easier to put in now than later. PM me if you want more details on how I did it in my house and garage.

Do the utilities rough in whether you plan to use them or not. Much easier later to make connections if desired. You might even want to add a satellite dish cable penetration and or conduit.

My bus barn is 30 X 50 and if I were building it knowing what I know now, I would have built a 3' X 20' pit for working under the coach in the middle of the slab. I had my slab poured level and would do that again. I do wash the coach inside sometimes but I sweep the water to the sewer hookup and run a fan to dry the rest. I installed a separate septic tank for the bus barn. If you consider doing a pit, do your homework, there are a number of considerations to get it right, including an air line and electricity.

Also, don't forget you'll have to back up out of the barn 130 ft. This could be a challenge for some people. I have a gate just barely big enough to drive thru, but I have room to turn around in the back yard. If I didn't I would hate to see what my MH would look like.

Good idea--I recently added a MIL bedroom & bath to my home and had no way to connect to existing plumbing (on a concrete slab) so I purchased that system---works beautifully. Would work well for motorhome.
