I have an 08 Palomino S17 Stampede that I purchased last fall. I noticed a couple months ago that the "NEW" 08 models have a press-on bulb seal around both bunk ends. I have been getting the run around from my dealer for the past couple months telling me that Palomino has not returned their emails/phone calls and have not been able to get these seals for me. On Friday I emailed Palomino, got an email back this morning telling me to call 1-800-297-5830 (their parts department). I was on the phone for maybe 3 minutes with one of their reps and these seals are being couriered out to me this week. I have to thank everyone on this site that have told people to contact the manufacture direct, it really works. I will post pictures once I have put them on the trailer. By the way he did not even ask for a serial number or any proof of purchase so I am thinking that anyone could call this number and get these seals sent out to them no questions asked, no matter how old or the make of your trailer, just tell them you have a Palomino??

I have a 2000 Stampede S21, that I jut picked up on 8/1. Prior to buying it I emailed Palomino and corresponded with a Rose Yoder. She was able to get me the floor plan, and everything this unit came with, once I provided the VIN. I can't say enough about Palomino! I hope this unit gives me a bunch of years worth of use!

I look forward to the photos of your upgrade once you get it done. I have no idea what a press on bulb seal is. Thanks for the update!

We have an 07 Palamino Stampede 19.5 HTT - not sure about the seals - you mean around the bunk ends on the exterior?? Not sure what mine are but have had no leaks.
I've been happy with everything so far. At year end, I sent a list and the dealer didn't ask any questions - ordered new parts for everything rather than try to repair. I was surprised but pleased.
Love the trailer and haven't done much except I did add a second battery.

I will post pictures as soon as I get them put on. I have not had any leaks either but I am trying to be proactive, I figure that the more seals around the bunk ends the better. The fact that Palomino is putting these seals on all the new 08 they must be trying to fix a posible problem. You mentioned you added a second battery, did you modify your battery rack or does the 19.5 have a double battery rack? I also purchased a second battery but I just haul it in my pass-thru tote and switch them out when required.

I tried my best but I couldn't find a way to make 2 batteries fit under the pre moulded cover. So I found a Stanley tool box at Home Depot that has a waterproof sealing and lockable lid (30$). I took 2 u bolts around the frame, up into the box that I fitted a plywood base into and bolted the tool box to the frame. 2 batteries fit perfectly inside - all I had to do was drill a couple vent holes in the lip of the box. It is totally dry, secure and worked well - just got back from 3 weeks in Rockies - great to have the extra battery and not have to swap out. I bought a double LP cover - I actually like it better than the Original cover as it has little access lids to get at the valves - better than removing that huge cover each time.

So are your batteries still in front of the LP tanks? I agree, that big cover looks like a great idea until the rubber straps keep breaking on you and you have to keep taking it off to open and close LP valves. Did you buy the plastic LP covers? A picture would be great if you could post it. Thanks.

AAAAAHHH so thats it. I added a couple of levellers on the box and one on the frame too. The box is big enough to hold a digital mutimeter too which I use to check actual life of batteries.
