Behind where it is labeled "low point drain," there is a valve. Should water come out of this valve? If it does, does that mean that I have a leak?

I would think that water should only come out of a valve IF you have opened that valve.

The "low point drains" should be kept closed and water should come out of them only when you have opened them to winterize your rig.
If I am understanding you question, I hope this helps.

water should come out of that if it is open. That is to drain the entire water system for winterization.

If you open it, I'm sure that water will come out!

There should be 2 pipes sticking down from the belly, 1 is your hot water line and the other is your cold, and water shouldnt come out of either unless you take the caps off to drain them. Its done this way for winterizing purposes.

On my Jayco Greyhawk c-class, the pump must run in order for water to discharge from my 2 low-point drains. The drain from the fresh water tank discharges without the pump running. Hope this helps.
