Not sure if this is a thermostat issue or A/C unit. We can hear the unit click when we set thermostat to cool, but that is all. Does not matter where we set the fan switch (on thermostat as well) no action at all. I have checked all fuses and breakers. Have tried to cross wire the fan wire to other posts on thermostat with no results. I have turned the fan by hand and it is moving freely.
Trailer is only 2.5 years old. A/C likely not used in about a year.

is it possible you have the 12v off or the fuse on the 12v is blown?? That will cause the ac not to work

From what you say, I take it that you have a common thermostat to both the furnace and the air conditioner? If that is correct, it is then safe to assume that your thermostat has 12V power because the click is the control relay that is located in the air conditioner control box. You can easily verify that by turning on the furnace and raise the temperature to a point of it turning on.
The thermostat is 12V as is the control circuit in the air conditioner while the motors which turn the a/c blower and it's compressor are both 120V from the generator or shore power. The only thing that comes from the thermostat is a 12V signal to tell the a/c what you want it to do. I would be very careful about switching wires around unless you are sure where all of them go and what they do.
Was there any sound at all from the a/c when you attempted to operate it? If there was not, I would next go to the roof with a meter and check to see if you have 120V power to it. If there is a hum but no action, look for a start capacitor problem.
If you do not have a meter, I don't know of much that you can do unless you get one.

I get the same thing if we have a brown-out here. The circuit breaker trips in my converter. I also get the clicking sound from the 12-volt relay and always find the supply breaker tripped.

On many of these units the dometic AC controls the operaton of the furnace as well. Check to see if the furnace will run after you reset the thermostat to operate the furnace. If furnace not working, there is a plug-in fuse on the circuit board in the ceiling part of the AC- accessed by removing the ceiling vent cover of the AC inside the RV.

If the unit clicks, then the 12 volt tstat/control system is OK. What you have is a 120 volt problem. Find the lack of 120 either at the Circuit Breaker or at the AC unit. Doug

thanks for info so far
12 volt supply checks out (did not see fuse for it?) but it works, furnace works also, which is far more important up here.
Wiring diagram for AC shows a 3 amp fuse but dont see it? Could it be inside relay box?

That 3 amp fuse is the 12 volt control system fuse for the Tstat control system. CHECK the 120 wires at the AC, do you have voltage from the White and Black. Doug

doug the white and black are labeled for 12V +/- , there is household grade 14/2 going in to the AC, is that the white black you are talking about?
