Has anyone found an RV park around the Big Bend area? I've searched
different sources, but have come up with nothing to accommodate a 35' 5er. I appreciate your response, Big G

We have a 35' 5er and stayed inside the national park. There are two campgrounds together that will accommodate you. On has hook-ups ( parking lot) the other doesn't. Rio Grande Village I believe.

The previous poster has it right. The Rio Grande Village campground can accommodate you if you don't need hookups. We also parked our 36' DP in the hookup section once after our battery conked out.

Big Bend Motor Inn and RV park is in Terlingua, not too far from the park. This is a pretty big park and can hold you no problem.
A bit closer to the park, about 2 miles from the other rv park, is Study Butte RV park, a little mom and pop outfit, no frills, but full hookups.

Is that a pic of the CG? If so which one?

Just east of the main north entrance there is a RV park. Don't remember the name but it had "Ranch" in it. It's about 15 miles SE of the park entrance.

The pic I posted above is of the Rio Grande Campground (no hookup section) taken from a nearby trail vista.

The camp ground north & east of Big Bend is the Stillwell Ranch. That would be on road 2627 east off highway 385. The rates are pretty cheap but it ain't much. If you continue east on 2627 you will eventually come to the old Rio Grande River crossing to La Linda, Mexico. The crossing has been closed for several years. This is a very desolute place with few inhabitants. Recommend you take your iron.

There are two RV parks in Alpine: BC Ranch and Lost Alaskan.
