PISMO Is a blast for the summer.
Camp on the sand. Just above high tide line.
MY 2 Cents.
Get there at LOW tide.
Air down. EVERYTHING!
Bring two tow ropes, beer and two big shovels (in this order).
CO2 tank to air up at the end of the trip.
Dont be impatient, take your time and plan your next move ahead so you dont have to stop in the soft stuff.

You think THAT photo is bad....
You should see the guy on New Years 06'.
His WW FLOATED away, truck and all. Brand new LE + Duramax.
Anyone who was there that year knows what I am talking about; the Rangers came knocking at my door at 6 am, telling us that if we were not off the beach in 1 hour, we would be there for 2 more days. A LOT of rain!!!
The river was just up to my doorsils crossing, that is IF you took the right line.
Scary stuff...
That photo was posted here a while back.
Still love Pismo!! C-Ya!!

I went to school down there and have seen many trucks and trailer go out to sea or be totaled from the water, after any storm we would head down to the beach and watch the dumb f**** try to cross that creek If the creek gets high just stay there a few extra days the sand is perfect after the storms

How many of you guys remember the 1998 El Nineo storms that had Pismo's river split to 2 and people would get stuck on either side and the guys that stopped on the middle island. Man those days when you rushed to have dinner and get you but to the river to watch....man those days where crazy. Truck and trailers sinking like rocks.

Man I wish I could find some really bad pic's on the net of big motor homes and trailers going down.

, When I'm there I'm the furthest East to camp. Much better for the kids to ride and I can relax @ Camp and just watch for a break.
