Anyone know the differences between Thetford "Porta Potti 365" and "Campa Potti XG"?

I note the XG has a bellows pump and no mention or level indicators. But looks like it is priced lower.

Any reviews or comments on the XG will be appreciated. We know about the 365.

Thanks,
Bill

We just tried an "XG" for the 1st time our last week-long trip. Upgraded from a non-flush potti w/bag. It worked very well. The kids liked it a lot and thought it was cool as it reminded them of an airplane potty. lol

It does not have any level indicators, but it is easy to see the level when the valve is open. Once filled with the water it is a bit heavy (for me) to move in the pup and it is a little taller than the old potty, but the odor was practically non-existant and just felt cleaner all around. The bellows was easy for the kids to use and it took only 2-3 pumps to clean the bowl. We used RV toilet paper and came out fine when dumping.

My daughter ended up having to do #2 and it handled that fine too. I just made sure that there was plenty of water to facilitate cleaning it out.

btw, the cap for the top water section was down in the refuse tube. I thought they hadn't packed it. Luckily I had looked down the tube before emptying it for the 1st time. Dumb place to put it!

It is good to realize that if love and peace can prevail on earth, and if we can teach our children to honor nature's gifts, the joys and beauties of the outdoors will be here forever.

Portipotti lesson I learned the HARD way: If it doesn't have an integrated pour spout for emptying the black tank, forget about it. Nothing can make up for lacking that.

We used our XG for the first time, last week, when we camped for 7 days. With 4 adults, and 4 kids and the campground bathroom being two loops away, needless to say we used the XG alot. It exceded our expectations. Funfoodie is correct when saying that keeping an eye on the level is easy enough when the valve is open. We needed to empty it several times but had no problems doing so with the exception of one time. Our 3 year old grandson decided to put some paper towel in the potty, needless to say DH had a heck of time getting that to empty out.

I also went the XG because of the $$ savings. Every $ saved means one more I can spend on camping.
