We really like the Gulf Stream Super C's built on the International chassis and are thinking to upgrade while prices are down. We are wondering how their quality rates and what problems are common. Any insight will be appreciated.

I have conventional Gulf Stream Class C and love it.
The Gulf Stream build quality is excellent.

It's just the ancillary components that are a pain- I've had issues with the generator and slide out pump.

I just returned from a 2800 mile trip to Florida to visit the kids and grand kids in my year old SuperNova. I now have over 20,000 miles on this coach and it runs better and better with miles. I do not think you can find a better handling coach on the market than the International at this price point. No handling upgrades necessary (like those needed on most Chevy Kodiak chassis) and winds, road conditions and other high profile vehicles have no adverse effects on the International chassis. I had my normal first year new coach issues but not any more than I had with my first coach, a Four Winds Fun Mover. Gulf Stream and my dealer, McClain's RV in Denton, Texas did everything I asked during the warranty period and I was extremely satisfied with the service provided from both. My wife and I think that the SuperNova is just about the perfect coach for us.

Texas TC and I are unofficial cheerleaders for Super Novas. We bought ours while we were on the road in Feb., and we have 10,000 miles driven. Like TC, aside from start up problems, which are present with almost any coach you buy, we've not had a problem with the coach. My wife drives 70% of the time, and loves the handling. The International side has proven reliable, no issues, other than regularly scheduled oil changes. Gulf Stream has totally backed us up with every concern, and is, I believe truly concerned with customer satisfaction. Come join us!

We too are a happy SuperNova owner. Ours only has around 5,000 miles on it and we have some regular new coach issues that are being resolved. Gulfstream has been great with communication and making sure we are taken care of. We were sent a card with our service rep's name, number and email and she has been fantastic. We had an Endura previously and Gulfstream tried very hard to make sure we were satisfied. It was down at their factory last year for some out of warranty concerns when the tornado hit. Thus, the Supernova. We liked the Endura but love the Supernova. The handling and the extra room is great. We have some ride issues because we pull a 20' trailer so International is working on that. I haven't had the nerve to drive it yet, maybe someday. I would highly recommend the Supernova to anyone looking for a Super C.

We also are completely satisfied with out SuperNova. We often dry camp in state parks, and the high ground clearance and over all "toughness" of the truck chassis is great. So far, all of the issues we have had are so minor that I fix them myself rather than drive the 100 miles to the dealer in Northern Colorado. We now have just 5,000 miles on our rig but everything is going great!

Galena, let us know how you like the 6400. That is the model my wife wants. she chooses the interior and I choose what model I think will fit what she wants for interior. We are a few (2 yrs) away from retirement. She's not sure if she wants the bunks for Grand kids or the office.

I have @ 6 months with this new 6400 and this thing is great. The wife and kids love it and everyonelse who tags along loves it. The ride could be better, but it is a MOHO!!! The cab noise is a little loud but nothing overbearing. The DVD player was a problem, but not a Gulfstream part. Love the electric levelers. Love the dual bathrooms, fit and finish is on par with anything in the same price range. It is not a JOHN MADDEN luxo rig, but it is more than adequate for what I need it for. Pics below...

Enjoy your new rig.
