Just got an 05 Winnebago Minnie (Ford D-450). I spent the morning going through everything, figuring out what does what. Anyhow, there are three components that I'm not sure about. Anyone with a similar setup know what these are? Thanks.

Number 3 looks like the remains of a CB antenna. No idea what the other two might be.

Yep, #3 looks like the base of a radio or CB antenna. No idea either on #1 or #2.

Have you called the dealer or the previous owners to ask them?

Happy RV and we wish you safe travels. BTW, congratulations on the Class C!

Yea, I bet you guys are right on the CB antenna. No, I haven't called the dealer or PO yet but that will be my next step. Now, after playing with it all day, I'm going to head down to the gas station (uh, oh...). Thanks.

Item 1. is the "Eye" that senses the radio tuner on the steering wheel

Item 2: Don't know. It's the same on my '05 Aspect. I'll look it up. BTW: Winnebago has all the parts and wiring drawings on line in their resources section. But this may only be found in the Ford E-450 book.

Item 3: The base to your outide radio antenna. Rubber ducky mast is missing.

Good luck with your new baby!

No idea on 1 or 2, but norm53 got it right for 3. It's whats left of the antenna for the outside radio. The rest probably got taken off by a low branch sometime in the past (been there, done that).

Number 2 is the evaporative emissions control canister for the Ford V10 engine. Most E450 Ford Super Duty vehicles have such a unit. It is passive in nature & doesn't require regular servicing....

Thanks a lot to all. I never would have figured out the emissions device. I'll check the Winnebago site too for the drawings. I am now complete! So the little LED is really an IR device. That wheel mounted deal looks like kind of an afterthought but what the heck. Anyhow, I think I've got everything ID'd now.

One more question to the Ford guys. What is the likely differential ratio on this thing? I couldn't find a tag on the rear end. I usually buy a shop manual for my stuff so I'll probably do that with this too. Maybe in the mean time I can pick up a Chiltons or something. Thanks again.

Something you may want to do is go to winnebagoind.com Open Contacts to do a second owner registration (no cost), then open Resources and click open Manuals and Diagrams. I have done most to PDF on a disk that I carry with us, also have a PDF parts list to our Winnebago serial number. Also check out the WIT club.
Regards,
Dick
