This is worth a chuckle...sometimes I wonder about the "timing" of things -- especially related to our pets.

Okay, so the phone rings and it is my vet calling to give me test results from my cat's test.

I answer the phone.

In the meantime, my cat RUNS into the room and starts dragging her backside on the carpet! (what the heck? she never does this?!)

So my vet says, "good news...after 3 months of trying, we have your kitty's thyroid in check and the meds are doing great."

In the next split second (as I try to reply to my vet), I see my kitty has a little surprise tagging along "behind her" (from her recent litter box visit).

That is EXACTLY when my vet says,"So how is kitty feeling today?"

I say "....uh, well (long pause) ....Just fine, thanks"

(and we hang up the phone).

Is kitty O.K.??? RE: hanging out--- Had a dog(which 1 of 5 we didn't know) get in the trash and devour artichoke leftovers(leaves&stickers). The following evening our old black lab came in thru the dog door eyes big as saucers - terrified expression on her face - she thought 'the old grab' had got her. One look at the other end and we knew who got in the trash - two of us and a roll of paper towel solved the problem. Hope kitty's problem is that simple. K

Thanks for the concern. Yes, she did this once a few years ago.

I will watch her over the next few days -- just in case.

Ah, 'tis the season... for the end of summer shed-out! I need to dig up some laxative spiked treats and lube up my Dad's old cat, we had a similar incident the other night.

That reminds me of poor Charlie, our poodle. He eats everything that he shouldn't. We had him walking at a rest stop, and he got stuck with a chunk of feces hanging from his back side by a piece of string. It would hit the back of his legs and he would whirl around in circles to see what was behind him.

It was pretty darn funny.... he was not pleased that we were laughing. We finally had to pull it out with one of the plastic bags that we carry in our pockets when the dogs are traveling with us.

Since he's a fuzzy guy, that eats alot of stuff... it's a common occurance for him. We refer to these pieces of poop as "Kling-ons"

Once in a while one of our dogs has that problem and that's what we call them! LOL

Yep, that was the last year we used the old metal tinsel.. Poor old Scruffy would use it while on on the tree like dental floss,, drag it between his teeth, and would do the same thing with string.. only cat I ever seen that LIKED getting his teeth brushed.
