With desert season coming up in a couple of months I've started thinking about wind shelters. The biggest complaint our friends/family group has is the kicking wind that lasts almost all season. What are some of the things you folks have bought or built to block the wind? I was thinking of making some type of large lean-to with electrical conduit and tarps. Any ideas and/or pics would be great.

Yeah, I use my trailer to block the wind. It works great, I just go inside and shut the door and BAM no wind!

The rule of thumb is: the closer to the mountains, the more the wind. The further from the mountains, the lesser the wind. Scout a new camp far from the mountains, and on the leeward side of a small rolling hill.
