After having looked at about a dozen different TT and TV insurance plans, it still unnerves me. Would any of you share what you use and about what it costs per year? Do you have full replacement coverage?
Hate to be a bother, but I really need some advice.

RV insurance coverage, just like automobile coverages, will vary widely in cost depending upon the location where it is registered, and the age and driving record of the owner. I suggest that you contact Aon Recreation Ins. and talk to them about what you need. They specialize in coverage for RVs.

We have great coverage from nationwide - in fact, they just got a different plan for RV's and it saved my $200 per year on full coverage/replacement on my Class C

I have had Nationwide for over 30 years. Every time I have checked prices nobody could touch them. I use them for my home, vehicles, and RV. I have had several claims over all these years and they have all been handled without hassle and no retaliatory increases in premiums.

I've got full coverage from State Farm. They have my cars, house and umbrella policy too.

Bobbo,
I too have State Farm. Can you shed some light on your coverage though? I just went through this with my agent about 3 weeks ago and my particular policy covers current market value, not replacement cost. Did you expressly state what you wanted?
Seems I may need to talk to my agent again. I mean, if I'm paying for insurance, let's insure the darn thing right!

we have Wayfarer Ins. here in Ontario Canada. It is full replacement coverage for 10 years. thats the price we paid for the trailer. We pay about 1k a year. But then everything is high up here and taxed to death! Our truck ins was not adequate for the coverage we needed.Dona

Rather than trying to get advice through the internet, you should talk to your own local insurance companies.
There is no hard and fast rule that requires you to stay with the same insurance co (unless you are high risk).
Get price for covering RV, then auto, possibly home owner. If you can get one insurance co to issue policys for multiple items they normally will give multi policy discounts.

I use an insurance broker - it's his job to find me the best insurance rates from the various companies he deals with. He can also tell me how difficult some companies can be when it comes to claims, as a very broad generalization the lowest rates and easiest to get (fewest restrictions) the harder it is to get the company to pay up. BUT that is just a generalization. There is more to insurance than just the monthly cost.
