We want to take our trailer up to Bishop for a few days of fishing. Can anyone tell me where would be a good campground thats cheap either full hook ups or just water and power. I would even take a dry campground I would just need a place to get water. We usually go to June Lake Loop but a shorter trip we dont want to go that far.
Thanks

There are 4 great BLM campgrounds. No hookups, not even available water. Their beautiful scenery and price of $5 per night might make it worth your while to hunt for a place to fill up your water and to dump once in a while.
There is a dump station in Bishop: "Large Shell truck/auto station at south end of town on US 395, double dump in back lot, $12 fee." RV Dumps website

I love bishop creek campground just below lake Sabrina. It may actually be called Sabrina. It is on the creek and the fishing is great. My boys 12 & 14 had a blast there. There are many campgrounds on the way up to Sabrina. Your rig should fit and it is first come first serve. No hooks but you can get water from a pump. You'll need a 5 gal container with a spout. Dump at the gas station on the 395 on the south end of town. Mills pond is nice but the sites are quite close together.

My favorite is Brown's Town right on H-395. Get a spot along the Golf Course. Nice and close to Town and to Line Rd. for all the fishing.

Thanks for all the info. I was just looking at Browns town. Where is Line Rd? We need to find some good places to fish? The BLM campgrounds look good to. I may hit the Goodale campground..

There are dry campgrounds just below the dam at Pleasant Valley Reservoir, which is about 5 miles north of town on the 395. Can fish at the reservoir or the river where you are camping

Thanks again for all the help. I have decided that we will go to tuttle creek BLM campground in Lone Pine. Fishing has been excellent from what I have heard.

We love lone pine and big pine, I asked nicely at the Visitor Center just south of town and they allowed me to fill up with water. Have a great trip!
