I remember having to wear dresses to school. In the winter the girls would wear flannel pants underneath our skirts so we wouldn't freeze to death. We'd take the pants off in the "cloakroom" and the boys would try to peek around the door.

Back in the middle of the last century when I went to high school few students had any wheels at all. Some farm boys drove the family pickup or truck to school and on occasion some parents would allow the kids to take the family car. Then came Rebel Without a Cause! That changed the whole aspect of "wheels". Then we got married and back to the basics. Now some collect those cars. Not me, I drive a minivan and a pickup. But is certainly is cool to see some of those vehicles still being driven around.

I used to love the milk man coming to the house. Also we had a threadle valve for the service brakes on the trucks. That is older than me though I think in its use.

Wow I enjoyed that!
I do remember some Chrysler products and I think Edsels with push button transmissions.
One thing I wish would come back? PUT THE DIMMER SWITCH BACK ON THE FLOOR! My left foot ain't got nothing to do and I need both hands on the wheel to dodge the folks talking on the phone in my lane!

Yes, Edsels had push buttons in the horn assembly as did some of the Chryslers. I fully agree with the dimmer switch on the floor. Both of my vehicles seem to turn on the wipers when I use the dimmer on the turn signal lever. I must twist when I do it. But they should do a better job of protecting the floor mounted switch, corrosion used to ruin a lot of them. Especially in the winter weather. You would thing the engineers would improve on the auto dimmer some of the older GM cars had back in the 50s and 60s. They should dim your lights and somehow disable those new overbright silver headlights that blind you.
