We are going to upgrade to a motorhome soon and have been looking at class A diesel pushers.

We recently went to a car race and a dealer had some Haulmark 45 foot super C motorhomes on display. After looking at them at the race, I made an appointment and test drove one mounted on a class 8 Freightliner drivetrain. It had a Detroit 515 HP (1700 TQ) engine with a 12 speed autoshift tranny. I really like how it drives compared to the diesel pushers I drove.

My question...does anyone here have a Haulmark coach and what has your experience been?

I have one on the Coronado Chasis. Have had it almost a year now and have put 12500 miles on it. We have had a few normal issues like most all motorhomes have, but overall am happy with it. 2 disadvantages vs DP are 1) more engine noise obviously 2) takes 40 acre field to turn it around. But has many many advantages over a DP.

i have had mine for a little over a year and 12k miles and have no complaints.they have a terrible turning radius as bowhunter has said but i just make sure we stick to big-rig friendly parks and it hasn't been a problem.
i've had two class a's(one a high end country coach)and i wouldn't go back.

We sold our United Specialties, similar to Haulmark. No issues over 18k in miles. Sold it for more bunk room and slidouts. Great units. What I didn't like about Haulmark was lack of storage space size. But from what I saw in Georgia they are working on it.

We've got a Haulmark toterhome - 17 foot box, so about 35' total length. It's on the Freightliner Columbia chassis with a 450 hp MB engine and a 12 speed automated transmission. I don't think it has the ride of a Class A diesel pusher - the back gets pretty bumpy on roads that aren't nicely paved and there's engine noise - but we have few complaints. The power is great - we've gone through the mountains with a trailer behind us and never had to give it a second thought. Fit and finish are very good. Storage space is seriously lacking, though; that is without a doubt my biggest complaint about the rig. We like having the cabover bunk - we usually have 7 or 8 people and sleeping space is never a problem (storage for 7 or 8, however, is a major problem). DH is thinking of trading it for a motorhome, as we've found that most places have trouble accommodating a toterhome of this size pulling a 5th wheel, which is what we wanted to do, and he's looking at Haulmark again.

We have a Haulmark Motorocoach with 30' stacker....We love it....515 HP and tons of torque....Big load though...When coach and stacker is loaded we are 64,000 punds...Coach alone fully service is 37k...Does not turn like a Class A....That is the only draw back I find...Very stable, and easy to drive...Does not move in the wind or move around when meeting trucks like a class A...Not near as much basement storage as a Class A, but we usually have the stacker, or a smaller trailer anyway...At this stage of our lives, I would not go back...We love the dunes, and having a clean car when we get where we are going....

I looked at a new one yesterday at a display that was set up at the NHRA drag races in Dallas. I have been in older models and I have to say they have really improved the finish out from the early models. Owners here still complained about the turning radius and the storage space is still rather sparse for that size coach.
