I didn't know about that form then. Apparently neither did the DMV drones. If I or they did, I probably could have solved the problem in a couple days. Learn something new every day I guess... (That link is now filed away for future reference if needed)

We are Texas permanent residents (no stick and brick) fulltime RVers who happen to be in CO for the summer, with no intent to go back to texas this year or even next.

Just for future reference, i did find out how it can be done, and barring the actual outcome, looks pretty easy..

Looks like the form is only for someone with an out-of-state address.

if you were out of state, and not boondocking, one would assume you would have an out of state address.... if you were boondocking, one can be had for less than the cost of gas back to your state of record, im sure (UPS boxes)
