Justardnck: You can always order as I did, or another 27dfwp owner just upgarde his axels to the 5200# himself (I believe I read that on the Forest River Forum)
As others have stated-not much counter space and truthfully, not a lot of overhead storage space either. We are going from a 9 month old 30 foot TT with 12' slide and space everwhere to the TH with no slide at all. The DW loves the 27dfwp layout and the full walk-around bed up front. I love all the open floor space-22' up the door side. We plan on packing more in storage tubs and we agree this will be fine with us.
We started quading 2 months after we bought the 08 TT so we need a unit for quads now.
Again good luck,
Brian

a built in Genny is nice, especially on those cold mornings. Not that your thinking about it right now because you jus purchased your TH, but if you ever sell it you will probably have a more difficult time or less buyers interested in it because it doesn't come with a built in generator . Almost all toyhaulers today have them. You might also get opinions over on the fiver forum as a lot of those guys have portables. Congratulations on the new purchase!

I actually haven't bought it yet, I was going to do the paperwork tomorrow but now I'm having second thoughts

old guy wrote: hope they have a good set of tires to haul four ATV's in it. Forest River doesn't use quality tires on their stuff.
That's a crock. Forest River was using 16" E rated tires long before most other manufacturers. Unless they have seriously downgraded what they are putting on their new units... the tires they use are fine.

I got a WP27 this spring and it fits us perfect. When I ordered it I told the salesman I needed a minimum of 1800lb in cargo area. He said that it had 2100lb capacity and a GVW of 11000 so I said it would work for us. At the time I had no idea what the capacity of the axles were. Once I got it home I noticed the 3500 axles. 3500 + 3500 = 7000 and I knew there was no 4000 on the hitch so I questioned it. Then I found the capacity sticker in the back of the cabinet over the sink.GVWR 8011lb, UVW 5899lb, 106 water 880lb, propane 63lb, CCC 1169. When I told the saleman about it he said it would be taken care of and I agreed to changeing the axles to 5200lb and which brought the CCC up to about 4300lb, GVW 11000 (If I remember correctly)and it handle much better on the road also.
