We signed up this summer to work at Water's Edge RV Resort in Cascade, ID. The setup was DH would work 13 hours a week in outside maintenance for site and DW would work in the office 20 hours a week, for pay. By the end of the month, the 13 hours was up to 24 to 30, with no pay for the extra hours and the DW was cut to 16 hours. She had an accident and had a cast on her leg, which did not interfere with her office work, but then the manager decided she had to work outside in the flower beds, while watching the office from there, which the Doctor said no way. They have workampers that have been with them for 10+ years, that are not returning due to the owner and manager changing everything mid summer and expecting them to double their hours, for no additional pay. They will need an all new cast of workampers next year. Just a heads up if you are thinking of working there.

Similar to another post I saw. They violated their commitment when they doubled the hours without offering additional reembursement. The contract is voided and you should feel no guilt for negating your portion of an abrogated agreement. Short reply. They cheated. You can then look for other situations. Possibly give 2-3 weeks to see if they will correct the situation. Beign looking around while you wait unless you cannot afford to leave.
Retain copies of the agreement and records of their violations of the agreement for future reference.
Plan for tomorrow. Live for today. Learn from yesterday.

We do miss the great people that we have met there and those we will meet at the gates this winter. Plan on spending 4-5 months there before returning here to our summer home. Where has Shawn put you? See you just after Christmas.
The experience with the owners and manager of the CG here this summer killed summer workamping for us. every person that workamped for them this summer have given notice of not returning to that CG but have found places at other CGs in town.
