I assume there is more than 1/4 tank of gas in the vehicle.

to sum it up==

I've observed the altitude adjustment on the carb. And read about it in the manual. The generator has ran successfully in my driveway but of late, it will not run in that same location. The neighborhood might be going downhill but I don't suspect that to be the problem.

I have also read the manual pertaining to trouble codes but the generator issues no trouble codes.

I have checked the fuel level, suspecting possible fuel siphoning, but the gauge is on "FULL" and fuel runs out of the fuel line when I disconnect it. Fuel can be drained out of the carb. bowl when the pump is operating.

I'm of the opinion that the fuel pump is defective and probably is one of those" designed to fail" items that generate easy money for the parts/repair industry.

Anyway, I do appreciate all of the comments/help. Thanks

I got a replacement pump at PartsAmerica (Discount, Schucks, Kragen, whatever they are in your town). There were a lower (around 2PSI) and higher (around 5) and I went with the lower. From what I learned about our older ONAN, the factory pump serves as a shutoff when not energized. The ones that did not also used a solenoid valve to accomplish shutoff. The PartsAmerica one (from Purolator as I recall) does not serve as a shutoff when not running. I went ahead and used it with no ill effects so far, several years.

There is a fuel filter on the pump inlet side. It screws off with a socket wrench. This might be plugged.

If the pump is bad, don't go over 4 psi, or you will unseat the float, especially while moving. Think the pump from Onan is around $50 by the way.

My problem was much of the same the way I found it I put down on ground a coffee cantainer full of fuel took a line from filter which is screw into fuel pump and carb and and put it into gas and started it and it ran till I shut it off I then followed the line back to tank found a small crack in it, replace the fuel line and it starts quicker then it ever had before.
