I have my TH hooked up to power at my house, but only the microwave and outlets will work. None of the lights, ac or water pump will work. I checked the breakers and fuses and they all seem fine. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Lights and water pump do not need you to be plugged in. They are 12 volts DC and they only need a charged and connected battery.
Make sure your battery is charged, that the disconnect (if you have one) is not disconnected and that you haven't blown any fuses.
Your A/C should work if your outlets are live - check for a tripped breaker on your fuse box.

Check your GFI's. If it has tripped your battery won't charge and could cause issues.
Is your thermostat on the wall 12v? If so, that would prevent the AC from coming on???

Hi,
Did it work before?
Do you have a 20 amp, 30 amp, or 50 amp receptacle that you are plugged into?
Do you have a inverter in the RV?
If you have an inverter, then perhaps it is only passing through power to some of the receptacles, while the others are not powered from the inverter.
If the inverter has an automatic transfer switch, perhaps that is wired wrong?
Usually I would say check the GFI's but the air conditioner usually is not connected to a GFI.
If you know where the battery charger is located, I would suggest plugging that into a differant circuit, with another extension cord, so that the batteries stay charged. You can damage the batteries if you leave them discharged. After charging, at least you will have lights!

It's always worked fine. Last time we were out on Memorial Day the batteries went dead now none of the lights will come on even though its plugged in. The GFI is fine and so are the fuses and none of the breakers are tripped.

Sounds like a GFI to me. This happened when we were out camping one time, one of the kids were playing around in the bathroom and hit the GFI reset button. I spent over an hour in the dark and rain going through every fuse and circuit breaker until I finally tried the GFI. Couldn't believe that one little GFI would cut power to the entire trailer.

check the fuse on your converter. sounds like its the converter because all the items that are not working are 12v or switched on by a 12v source. If the fuse is good put a meter on dc and check the voltage coming out of the converter, also check the voltage on the batteries.

Since your batteries went dead, you may want to check the water level in them, or just check them period. It does sound like some type of breaker/GFI popped, or maybe a rodent possibly chewed some wiring.

Just a thought...your battery is basically dead when it reads 12.0V....12.65 is 100% charged, and 12.0 is about 25%, so maybe the battery is actually deader than you thought....especially if it had gone dead awhile ago. They sometimes won't charge up full again....how old is it?
But, as mentioned, this looks to be a 12VDC problem, so that is where you want to start...working your way along the connections, to find either a blown fuse, or a broken connection (bouncing down the road will do that!!).
Good luck

Hi,
I tend to agree that the batteries need to be looked at, they are probably low on water if you have not put any in each month or two. Without power to the batteries, the charger sometimes will not start to work - it needs to see 12 volt input to turn on. (well between 11 and 14.5).
You might try to jump start the trailer from your car/truck battery, or even plug in the RV to the tow vehicle for a little while, and see if that will cause the charger to come on.
If the batteries are warm the next day, or sound like it is gurgling, then you could have a shorted cell in the batteries, thus you need new batteries.
I would always suggest a pair of golf cart batteries, because they recover from being discharged much better, and tend to last much longer.
It might also be that the battery charger is plugged into a receptacle that has no power. If this is a fifth wheel, look for the charger in the forward storage area.
Fred.
