I suppose I'll be the one that says these are really cool. I wasted about an hour looking at that page yesterday.

I applaud that you are willing to try but you may need to really think this through. There are already some "vintage" design trailers manufactured, the T@B is one of them.
Priced over $10K and made on a mass production line in a large temp controlled building.
Materials bought on contracts in bulk quantities by a large company, they will get far better pricing than you would be able to get.
They also have a dealer network to sell them, you wouldn't.
Since T@Bs are mass produced they also can build LOTS of the same copies in a short time. You wouldn't be able to build many per year.
Then there is the issue of getting the trailer titled, in PA it is a major hassle now days due to crack down on title fraud.
One thing of your idea that has merit, QUALITY, you just can't find mass produced RVs that will have quality. The problem with that is I found out real fast that MOST folks are not willing to PAY for quality.
Good chance that you would LOOSE money if you factor in your cost of materials and YOUR LABOR costs. This is what happened when I tried to sell my first TT that I rebuilt, I didn't expect to make money but did at least sell it for what I payed for it (not including materials and time). I would have considered starting a custom trailer business but I will not consider the idea since I found out that people don't PAY for quality. They will buy cheap then complain about how bad the manufacturer built the trailer.
I hope it works for you, I wish you luck.
