interested in hearing from any full timers from michigan that changed their residence to another state when they went fulltiming. particularly how was your experience, did the good ole state of michigan give u any problems? on the average how much did u save insurance and plate wise, since our greedy state zaps us for insurance. what state did u go to and what service did u use for mail forwarding and an address? how has it affected your michigan taxes? thanks.....

Use Alternative Resources in Sioux Falls, SD. They have contacts with insurance agents, lawyers, and bankers who understand what fulltiming is, and also are next door to driver's license. They also have contacts at the DMV. Becoming a South Dakota resident is painless and Michigan can just go to He** since you moved to South Dakota. Tellthem PMB 1293 referred you. 1-800-477-2664

We were from Michigan, now we just visit.
We have been fulltimers with My Dakota Address now for over 2 years. They also have all the contacts and are across the street to all the things you may need to set "housekeeping" in SD. One call to Terri Lund and she can start setting you up in SD. She will have all the paper work filled out for your signature and send it to you or have it ready when you stop by to have your driver license picture taken.

We left Ypsilanti, Mi 15 months ago and do not regret it. We went with Progressive insurance which we had in Michigan. Our overall insurance went down over one half of what we were paying. Our residence now is Rapid City, SD and Americas Mailbox www.americasmailbox.net is our mail forwarding service. Don from Americas Mailbox has set up a web page full of answers to what you may run into, give a look and make up your own mind. Good luck on your search and travels.
