Just another way to skin the cat:


I used stainless on the back side of the eye bolt (shown on the exterior of the ramp door)

I'm thinking I will have to do an Eye bolt all the way through the 2" aluminum framing on the door. Didnt want to really do that, as I didn't want anthing showing on the outside, but it might be the sturdiest way.
How much movement does the cable/chain setup have when you are on it?

No movement at all, or very little. I only install the eye bolt thru my door when using the door as a patio, and I only hand tighten the nut underneath, thats all that needed. I made a cork plug to put in the hole when not used with a cap on the outside, you can't see a hole.

Don't have any pics but I installed the eyebolt through the outer frame so it sets into the recess where the spring/upper attachment is. Like said above, once you get the cables the right length the ramp is always level with the floor.
