Well I finally got some time this afternoon to look into the slide issue because it finally stopped raining. When I got under the slide I noticed that the roller support closest to the slide unit was not even touching the slide. That would add resistance to the unit thus braking the pin. Getting it apart was chore. After all how hard could it be to line up the broken pin and use a drift punch and tap it out. Let's just say It's not going to come out that way. After looking things over I decided the motor and shaft had to come out, but how? After about an 1.5 hrs. of trying different thing I found the trick. Remove the plastic spacer on one end of the shaft and slide the shaft off the gear pin. Then the motor came off with two bolts (both were loose and one missing a spacer)leaving a six inch gear shaft that had the broken pin. I tapped it out pulled the gear out and headed for the work bench. No problem tapping the broken roll pin out now. The pin looked like it was made of aluminum. Well I looked through my stuff and found a few roll pins (right diameter, too long). Guess I will be going to the hardware store. Being Sunday night they have all ready closed.
It will easy to reassemble and none of the holes were out shape. If it happens again I will be a very simple fix. I will be getting a few extra pins. I will also be making some close measurements to make sure the slide is level and square to the body.
