DW has some significant issues with back support in our captains chairs. We have tried a number of home type pillows but none see to do much good. Anybody have some better ones that WORK?

Thanks

I have the same problem as captain chairs curve the wrong way for me and I have no support for the small of my back. We tried a number of support pillows and small throw pillows and none was comfortable. Then I found a piece of memory foam that had been cut from a mattress topper and it was perfect! I made a little pillow case for it and all is well. You might try an upholstery shop and ask for a 2½" or 3" piece of memory foam of the size you want. I think mine is about 15" wide by maybe 7" high. Because it conforms so nicely to the body, there are no protrusions like you have with pillows. Hope that helps.

I know that this is gonna sound crazy.... but have you tried "Bubble Wrap" ?

Yes, I'm talking about that plastic stuff that Walmart sells to wrap fragile items in when shipping ..

Think about this for a moment folks...

It is very flexible and the thickness of the "Pillow" can be easily adjusted by simply popping a couple of bubbles or adding another layer of bubble wrap..

If you use a small pillow case to put the bubble wrap into,it will look just like a small pillow should..

What the heck ... ? What have you got to lose... a couple of minutes and maybe a dollar ninety-nine to experiment with the bubble wrap idea..

If you do try it.. please come back and let us all know your results, whether good or not so good...

TWO CENTS WORTH
The story goes that a man died and was approached by the Devil who told him that he could buy his soul back for a dollar. The man searched his pockets and could only come up with 98 cent. While begging the Devil to forget the two cent he was short, an Angel happened by and hearing the Devil laughing, asked the man, "Would you mind if I put in my two cents ?" The Devil got so mad that he exploded in a puff of smoke and the man's soul was saved.
The moral: Sometimes putting in your two cents worth makes a difference.

Hi SRDJ,

You might want too look at commerical air/liquid ride seats for truckers. They have a seat that is super adjustable, back, bottom, sides for just over a $1000, including frame. Several mfg's too choose from.

I'd find a commerical driver forum and ask the question there as too what is the best seat mfg for the problem.
