I purchased my Puma 27FQ new this summer. So far things have been just perfect with it. However, one thing that I miss from my pop-up is an outside shower. I used it a lot to wash my hands, feet, kids, dog, etc. Now that I don't have an outside shower, I really miss it a lot.
It's not a huge deal with out one, but the real advantage is that not every ounce of waste water goes into my grey tank. There are so many times I'd like to use one, I thought I'd ask if I can add one and has anyone installed one themselves?

Of course you'll have to run the water lines...
I remember seeing a small tankless unit that you would hook up on the back ladder that you could use with an exterior shower, but couldn't find it on-line.

Yes you can. I did. I put it in the back so I could tap into my water lines form the bathroom sink. I bought the snap in "T" connectors for the pex tubing.

Your mod's on your TT are only limited by your imagination and your mechanical abilities. You can run water lines under the TT, use a fish tape to feed a line to pull them into place. Locate the supports in the wall before you start. Just remember...If Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor can do it, anyone can.

Thank you. I assumed it wouldn't require any genius. Looks easy enough. The only thing that bothers me is my aluminum siding. It just seems to make things more complicated...

With the aluminum siding in mind, you will have to be very careful in sealing the unit. You may want to consider using Eternabond double sided tape. It may take up the space in the peaks and valleys construction. That's just an idea.

I did it, found it an easy DIY...
I made a cardboard cutout the size of the hole to cut, then agonized about sawing it out wrong.... but it all works fine!
BTW, I got my unit on ebay for under $20 during the winter....

TJHUB I got a sale paper in the mail this past week from JC Whitney and they had one advertised. Mine already has an outside shower so i didn't look very closley at it. Just a thought, you might want to check their price too.

Thanks. I'm on the hunt. I had actually already found the JC Whitney link searching with Google.
I'm going to talk to my dealer before I purchase anything. The service guy is really decent and I'd like to hear what he has to say before I try hacking up my brand new TT.

You could add connections to your low point drains in order to be able to make quick connections for outside water. I added Flair-it adapters that connected to the tubing and had male pipe threads on the other end. I added brass female pipe thd x female garden hose adapters. I added plastic garden hose quick connectors with built in ball valves to use to turn the water on and off outside after opening the lowpoint drains under the kitchen sink. I can now use a garden hose with matching plastic male quick connectors and connect as needed to the hot or cold water drain lines.
I plan on getting a plastic laundry sink. I can remove the quick connectors from the brass fittings and connect washing machine hoses and then connect to the laundry sink to use for outside washing and cleaning. The sink drain can be routed with a hose to the camp site sewer connection. The legs can be removed from the sink and the sink used as an outside shower to stand in with a shower tent over it.
