Carl & Pap.... I am so sorry to hear about your beloved companions. All of us know how hard it is to say farewell to one of our pets. My heart goes out to you during this time.
With Sympathy
They will not go quietly,
the pets who've shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know
their spirit still survives.
Old habits still can make us
think we hear them at the door
Or step back when we drop
a tasty morsel on the floor.
Our feet still go around the place
the food dish used to be,
And,sometimes,coming home at night,
we miss them terribly.
And although time may bring new friends
and a new food dish to fill,
That one place in our hearts
belongs to them...
and always will.
Cat
(Jim just reads the forum once in a while)
Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some sort of battle....
Live simply, love wholly, give generously, care deeply, speak kindly.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Trish who gave so much back to all who needed her and I was so sorry to hear of Pap's 2 losses at once - it is hard enough to lose 2 in a year, much less in a week.
We all understand the pain

I'm so very sorry for you.
It is difficult when a special canine develops bone cancer. The same treatments available for humans are not so readily available for pets. And that makes it so very frustrating.
I'm sure Trisha demonstrated great heart and courage throughout, just as our special guy did. He died two years ago August 22, having survived eight months with cancer in his right femur.
I'd like to think Trisha is painfree and smiling again, and will continue to be with you every day while she eases your heart towards its own healing.
