I am getting a kick out of the "targeted" ads for each of the threads here. Talk about a barn falling down, you get ads about metal buildings, you talk about Fredie Mac, and you get ads about not getting foreclosed.
I wonder what would we get if someone talked about something that used the words enhancing and male in the same sentence....

Fannie and Freddie are government entities invented by the new deal of FDR. The biggest losers in this deal are the shareholders. The stocks are bust. All that the gov is doing is backing your mortgage lender from default from bond failure of frannie and freddie. (Hate those names btw).

guess they figure if we can bail out the S&L industry back in the '80s we can bail out .................. We even give tax breaks to the industry that make the largest profits. Hogs at the trough.... just like old times

Actually RE dropped down lately. Now I am at the same level I was at New Year time.
Question is , is it country economy, or just dead summer season?
Now coming to Fred and Mae. If government is supporting them financially, who is going to support government?
At one point government will go bankrupt and Chinese stop delivering their goods to this market. Can you imagine life without Chinese goods in our houses?
