what a embarassment they are to truckers and the industry.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in
a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out, loudly proclaiming---WOW WHAT A
RIDE!!!

Just the ones that think they are invincible, like the idiot who called himself "Ice Road Rick". The rest are just good natured, hard working truckers, like 99% of the ones in the USA.

Yep only A-- was Rick and he was one last year also.
Those guys got more brass than I would have to drive frozen lakes and river's.

Truckers are like RV'rs. Some good some are not.

yeah, my neighbors are truckers (he operates a clss 8 and she has a 3500 DRW flat bed hotshot service). She really tees off for their lack of professionalism. Her comments were they would make typical dump truck drivers. I'm sure the show producers found what they percieve as a good "show" with all the crude talking.

under normal conditions i am sure the truckers work work hard as do most all truckers. what i mean is the ones that they film they act like idiots. like the one tonite thats driving naked because its 36 degrees out and talking about airing out his you know what. and than i guess tonite was the night for cursing thinking it makes them look cool. every sentence was getting beeped out. they make themselevs and represent their profession very bad.

I wonder if Rick is that dopey ALL the time or if the producer offered Rick, apparently the the most unstable guy in the show, money to create some "goofy moments".
He broke a lot of quipment and if the truck owner had to pay for all the repairs, maybe Rick would have been fired sooner (unless the producer covered the repair costs).

I raise my glass to tonkatoys. I am a retired truck driver and all the drivers on that show except one are a poor example of that industry. The one exeption is Erik, he is sincere and not braggadociouse. The rest of them need to check their ego and their mouth when the camera is rolling. I'm glad to not be an
"Ice Road Trucker" if thats what it takes.
