If it would use the Dewalt 18V battery, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Everything I have uses Dewalt 18V batteries and I have 5 batteries and 3 chargers. Darn!

I just bought one, but have not used it yet. I mounted a double battery charger for it in one of the bay walls right next to an outlet. It is a trickle charger, so it will keep the batteries fully charged.

I might be able to take it for a test spin tomorrow. Found it at the Black and Decker store in Seaside Oregon. The wash head looks to be pretty safe for the full body paint. I especially like the two extension arms that come with it and the head unit can be unlocked so that it will swivel and stay flat against the RV regardless of the angle you hold it.

I'm pretty sure the OP was referring to this unit

Gordon has the right one in his link. I used the black scrub head for the roof, and the orange for the sides. It never ran out of power.

I guess I will have to buy one on-line. After reading this thread yesterday, I went to 2 Wal-Marts, a Home Depot and a Lowes, nobody even had a clue as to what I was describing, even with the model number. Looks like a great tool, something that could make the cleaning task much easier.

Tuna.

The answer is.... Yes!

It uses the standard 18 volt battery used in drills, saws, etc.

I took the Black and Decker scrubber for a run late this afternoon on the front end of the coach.. Usually, I need to get my 13 foot ladder out and climb up and down with a sponge. The scrubber did a great job in cleaning off the dried on bugs from our last trip from the ground.

I did not have time to do the entire couch. I will do that on Wed or Thursday (my days off). Did a good job although the power head does not want to swivel as easily as I would like. The power head does not move at the same speed as an electric drill, but then it does not need to. Actually, it rotates fast enough to really be efficient in scrubbing.

I will continue to use it and so far, I feel it was a good use of 79 bucks! The soft scrub head is ideal for full body paint.

For those who have them, I take it that it works fairly good for you?
I think Im going to have to check out the local Walmart and see if they carry it.

Just an update.

I used the B&D scrubber extensively on my 40 foot coach on Thursday.

I got the knack of how to do this the most effective way (for me). That was, do the roof first - with the black stiffer brush.

Then using both extension poles and the soft brush, I worked the top 1/3 of the coach all the way around. Then I removed the 2nd extension using lots of soap and water. I found that rather then using a side to side sweeping motion, it worked better for me moving the brush in a vertical motion.

Then with just the power handle and the head, the bottom 1/3 along and storage doors.

Worked great! What was sometimes a half day, was done in 3 hours (no, I was not working fast!)

I only needed the 13 foot ladder for getting up on the roof once.

Before, I had to drag that beastly ladder all the way around, along with the climbing up and down. What a pain!

Did a great job on the windows too!

To the OP! Good job in recommending this - it works
