Gas is OK, but the lava rocks on the cheap ones are impossible to clesn. I know some have smoker plates, but how hard are these to clean. I'm thinking that charcoal is actually the easiest to clean, or at least degrease as the charcoal tends to burn off most of the grease by the time it burns out. I also know there are gas/charcola combinations. Anyone here who can help?

You're going to find the majority of folks love their Baby Q's. We've been using an Olympian for years now and are very pleased with the food it turns out.

Got tired of dealing with charcoal... so we got a Weber Q. Very pleased with both of them...(Baby Q for on the road and Q200 for home)

We use the cheapest and throw away when they get too nasty. No lava. We use the ones with the plate. They clean up fairly easily if you don't let them go too long.

If you want to use charcoal, look at the Portable Kitchen. It can be broken down to fit in a large plastic box and is large enough to cook 8 chicken halves at one time. It is made of cast aluminum and will last forever.

Weber Q.
We have to Q220 because we have a big family & lots of friends. Its a little heavy though. I carry it in the back of the pickup. If storing in a compartment get the baby Q.
While there are other great grill, the Q cooks real nice & even. And like the backyard Weber's you almost never burn anything on them.
Also the clean up is easier than any grill I've ever used or seen. Just hose it out! The case is aluminum so its not going to rust like the cheap ones we used to have to replace every 2 - 3 years.

Another vote for the Baby-Q by Weber. Built like a tank and made to last.
I want to leave this earth quietly in my sleep like my grandfather and not like the hysterical, screaming passengers riding in granddad's RV just before the big crash.

We have had two Baby-Q's. Gave our first one to our son who is still using it. They are great.
