Kinda the other way around, they taught me.
I have been a lurker to this forum for many years, reading all I can about different folks setups.
Once my interest was firmly established, I went to a local solar contractor to buy supplies/parts,,,,but instead left with a new job there
Visited with em for like 20min and they hired me on the spot.
Having that job allowed me to have wholesale pricing on all of my system.
Worked out REAL WELL.

I know what I'm using for bait next time I go fishing.
Settle down I was only joking. I would do the same thing for my dogs. I got between my dog and a pit bull after it attacked my Lab. Luckily a good kick to the head sent him away.

We'd do the same for our dogs and since ours do swim in the ocean quite a bit we're always vigilant.
In '05 we had our Sofie at Flagler beach in Fl. playing ball with her and we had to act real quick to get her out of a rip tide, she didn't care she wanted her ball, we got her in ok but lost the ball.

Sorry guys. the dog would have been history. I would fight for my wife, my children, your children, Or any person I saw in trouble. But the dog is just a different thing. Ain't riskin my life, and the well being of my family for it.

finally, a voice of reason. A few days back there was a clip on TV of the young man who swam across a bayou or some such and lost an arm to an alligator.
