I can only stomach Lambrusco, everything else tastes like vinegar to me. thus I have not been a fan of wines.

I second the vote for White Zinfandel. Almost any brand will work until you develop a taste for a particular make. We used to buy Blossom Hill.

Do you drink the red first or the white? Is it OK to mix the two? Is eight ounces of each enough? Finally we have a decent choice in medicines at an affordable price. I'm gonna go start DW on red and see what happens

I like to mix champagne and Ripple wine. We call it Champipple.

Really, just kidding. Do they even make Ripple any more?

Try St. Julian's "Simply Red"; it's lightly sweet.

If you don't mind some sweetness, then you can use any red at all to make sangria, which is basically a wine and fruit juice cocktail.

My favorite is roughly 1/3 cranberry juice, 1/3 diet tonic, and 1/3 wine, over ice, with a wedge of lime squeezed into it.

If you like this idea, you might want to look at the suggestions on this page, and remember, you really don't need a recipe!

Sangria

Carlo Rossi Sangria $7.99 gallon and it is a very decent wine! let the flaming begin,,,,,,,

If you like sweet red wine, try Taylor Lake Country Red out of New York State. We used to drink it in our younger days. It's good for a sweeter wine.
