One thing to consider is snow around Flagstaff, Galup and points at higher elevations that those areas.
Flagstaff is at over 7,500 feet elevation, and can get snow when the areas like Kingman are getting rain and are in the 70's. You did not say what time of year you are going, but I am in Albuquerque now, and it is in the lower 50's at night this week. Yes the balloon fiesta was great, but it looks like the last two days will get rained out.
I wanted to stop at Monument Valley and Chinle, where Canyon De Chelly is located. But that will have to be saved for another time. Well worth seeing if you have some extra time.
I have not been on the roads to Telluride CO, so I don't have specific advice for those areas, other than to find out the weather predictions on Weather.com

OK - here are some ideas: Flagstaff to Chama: North on 89 to Tuba City, 160 to Kayenta, 163 to Monument Valley and stay over and take the guided tour of The Valley, then north on 163 to Bluff and UT state 163 thru' Aneth and back to 160 thru' Cortz and Mesa verde NP, Durango and on to Pagosa Springs, then south on 84 to 64 and into Chama; OR at Tuba City take 264 thru' Hopi land to 191 and north to Chinle and take the tour of Canyon de Chelly, then north to Mexican Water and 160 to Teec Pos Nos and then 64 atorostss NM to Chama
From Chama to Mueller SP ; Take 17 out of Chama over Cumbres Pass to Antonito CO and pick up 285. Take 2817 to Alamosa the 17 north and take in Geat Sand Dunes NP before continuing north to meet 285, the over Poncha Pass and continue on 285 to the junction of 24 (near buena Vista); east on 24 to Divide then south to Mueller SP.
Mueller to Almont: backtrack to Divide, and Buena Vista, Then ( assuming you are travelling next summer - go west over Cottonwood Pass into Taylor Park then south along the Gunnison River to Almont; OR at the junction of 24 take 285 back to Poncha Springs to take US 50 across Monarch Pass to Gunnison and then north to Almont.
Almont to Redstone; again - summer only - from Almont go to Crested Butte and over Kebler Passt to meet 133 and north to Redstone.
Redstone to Telluride; backtrack on 133 and 92 to Delta, south to Ridgeway and west on 62 to 145 to Telluride;
Telluride to Flagstaff stay on 145 to Cortez
then Louth to meet 160 and follow to Tuba City and into Flag.
Lots of variations but these give ou the basics.
Again - assuming you are planning for next spring/summer.
PM me with any questions.

Flagstaff is at about 6900 ft, not 7500. There could be snow but also could be fairly warm. We winter 55 miles south of Flag and are there fairly often. A couple of winters ago the ski area could not open due to no snow even at 9200 ft. Last winter the local TV station reported 260 some % of normal snow. The point is that there could be any kind of weather there so be prepared fo any. We've wintered in the area I mentioned since 1995 and more often than not there has been little to no snow. And it can melt quite rapidly once the sun comes out. Rule of thumb for mountain areas no matter what time of year, be prepared for any weather.
