Hope you B'ers find this over here. I'm still awaiting time/$ info. from the Pagosa Riverside Campground, where there's been a bit of chat on the B Forum about holding the '09 Social. Right now I would guesstimate around the 3rd weekend in September, with rates around $30 per night. I'll let you know more when I do.

I firmed up with the owners for the Social to be September 18-20th, but it can be moved up one w/e if attendees prefer. They're discounting their rates to between $28 and $30 depending on hookups needed per unit; this is a few dollars off their regular projected rate next season. They close for the winter in a couple of weeks, so, while you can make reservations anytime, check back and confirm the reservations around mid-April, or you can wait till then to make them. They are holding lots of spaces for us till mid-August, after which they will open those spots to anyone who calls them. Pagosa Springs is a really lovely area, best known for their fantastic hot springs. There's golf, hiking, jeeping, Durango's narrow gauge railrd. is about an hour west, Cortez and Mesa Verde are about 2 hours west, Wolf Creek Pass (ski/hike) is just east, and New Mexico is just south. The # for Pagosa Riverside Campground is 888-785-3234.
I'll post any new info or changes as they come. I haven't been to this campground though their website/info sounds just right, but will try to stop by and see it either December or May as I head south or come back up.

Abby looks like a nice area. Hopefully we will be able to make the B Outwest 2nd get together. Do they have a shelter just in case we have rain?

Sounds like fun, but wife's a school teacher, so there's no way we can make a week long trip during the school year.
We're considering moving out to Wyoming or Colorado, ourselves, to retire in a few years.

Heads up! GGup is proposing a Niobrara, NE Redux the week before Pagosa Springs, CO for those that want to meander that way. Don't short shrift Niobrara State Park in northeast Nebraska on the confluence of the Niobrara River with the Missouri River. It is one beautiful state park and the campground is excellent.
