This is exactly why I belong to the "CVC Cult" lol. This forum is by far the best source of information, suggestions, and opinions on our tiny segment of the RV industry ... campervans. While some issues do cross over to RVs in general, many of them truly are B specific.
As far as being a moderator "groupie" ... I'll have to draw the line there, Rodger ... unless, of course, you're planning to send me gifts ... flowers, candy, jewelry, gas cards, scotch, NFL tickets ... I'll think of more ideas later, but feel free to start shopping right away

baywoodbill wrote: Rodger, I agree with others that i don't detect you pushing Roadtreks any more (and probably less) than most of us like to push what we own.
On the other hand, I don't appreciate some of the A owners, C owners, and TT owners who give opinions on subjects that are intended to be answered by B owners.... such topics as "what do you take along" and "what do you eat". The posts from some of those folks on topics like this are so far from practical suggestions that it makes me wonder why they are even looking at this forum. I LIKE RODGER AS A MODERATOR OF THIS FORUM. (How is that for shouting?) From my perspective, Rodger does not mention Roadtrek any more than the other Class B units.
I suspect if there is any hurt feelings still existing by anyone, it is because of the B+ motorhome thread being moved to the C forum where it belongs. That has been settled a long time ago.
Back to "baywoodbill's" comment above, I ignore the posters to this forum by a Class A, Class C, or trailer owners that do not know what they are talking about. I have been guilty of that several times myself. If you are accustomed to only reading the forums of your RVIA class, then you may not have that problem. I frequently click on the "Newest, the Active, or the Popular" forums and it is easy to misunderstand the question. That is likely only my problem as I always think I have an opinion that may help someone.

I have not found that Rodger "pushes" Roadtrek. It is what he owns and comments most about. No problem there.
Unlike most of the other posters, though, I would prefer CVC to be less clubby.
Here is what I mean by that. So many issue in RVing are shared by owners with different vehicles. If the owner of a "B+" or small C want to share his/her opinions on what to take along on a four-week trip, I am all the richer for reading it. If a C owner discusses his 6-Liter Chevy chassis common in RTs, Pleasure Ways, and other Bs and Cs, I appreciate the input. Isn't a question about the Dometic fridge from a Tiger owner just as important as from a B owner? Can't everyone learn (potentially) from the answer.
I am not suggesting that CVC host detailed discussions about class Cs, but I find discussions about the tradeoffs between a traditional B and a "B+" or small C enlightening. If someone wants to proselytize about the virtues of the C, directing the post elsewhere is appropriate. When I was shopping for my first RV, I also considered some alternatives to Bs. I wasn't on RVnet yet, but it would have been extraordinarily helpful to me to have seen a discussion of tradeoffs by experienced users.
I think Rodger is quite conscientious in his moderation. I would just like to see a bit more tolerance for posts that maybe do not fit within the narrow definition of B. We can all abide a bit more tolerance, can we not? Heck, if CVC were to get much stricter, I fear I might be kicked off asking questions about my RT200. It is "technically" a C, you know.
I don't want Rodger (or anyone else) to take this as a slight. I have been wanting for some time to express this feeling, and Rodger's question provided a perfect opportunity to do so--even if I am a minority of one.

Roger, having not been around all that long I also did not realize you have an RT. So what? It is a great forum. Non illigitamus carborundum is what I say.

I appreciate your frustration but what happens is that many of us watch the "new posts forum" which show all new posts from EVERY forum. When someone asks a question like those you listed we don't realize you mean only smaller B watchers - We all see it. If you want only CVC owner's to answer you might include that in your post.

Thanks for the imput reid.
I guess you haven't noticed that I have tried to be more flexable in this area. Also, I don't remember ever moving a post that was asking about the difference between a B, B+, or C.

That's a good point, but members should also take the time to look and see what forum they are posting in.

The fact that your Rodger's question has received 20+ responses in just five hours shows me how much support "B" owners have for this forum and for Rodger. This has been the most informative source of information for me and I don't even own a Roadtrek. Keep up the good work Rodger.

Rodger, as Moderator of this forum (and my friend), I have never felt that you pushed Roadtrek over other brands.
Quite often, you do direct "non-B" threads to the forums in which they belong... and I'm entirely in favor of that.
There have always been a few that didn't wanna admit that their rigs were not B's.... oh, well.
You do a fine job - 'specially considering what you get paid.
Thanks... and keep up the good work!

Trailering Texans, thank you for a very diplomatic answer as to why non-B related answers show up in the CVC forum.
As a tire industry person, the one that always makes me chuckle is when a poster with semi-truck sized tires (class A) chimes in when while we're discussing much smaller, very different 16" tires.
Certainly other class RV owner opinions and suggestions can be valuable, and I welcome varied posts, but when a response is too far off base, I do appreciate when our moderator (or another CVC poster) steps in and points out the topic is B specific. You would think that would be obvious, being posted in the CVC forum, but I guess it's just something that happens. No big deal IMO.
