Congrats Barb. I knew you'd be staying away from that fuzion. Hope you ended up with a decent price. Sorry about the graphics though. Me... I like all them shinny colors. To bad they won't match our bright red truck though. Me I really didn't understand why trailers made for dirt and large feet would have sub woofers right on the floor level where we could put our feet through them, oh well. I will miss the storage bins, I liked the idea of them, but can see why they might be an issue. Thankfully the trailer seems like it has tons of storage tought. We haven't heard yet when we can pick the trailer up nor have I decided on a hitch and airbags. I guess we need to do that soon.

Congrats again Anita and Jeff on the new toy. Keep us posted on things to look for during delivery as well as any thing else.

Keep us posted with pictures.

Thanks Diana. Yeah, we went back to the Fuzion and it just wasn't made as well as the Cyclone. Little things like under the granite counters, and behind the valances. Patrick didn't want the graphics because they fade and look bad after a few years. I loved the brown graphics, but I understood what he was saying. I'm now excited to see my "big white snowball" as anitajeff put it. Yes, we're very happy with the price. I thought about what you said about the black leather and you are right. It would show the dirt and dust, so I went with the Auburn Hill pattern with the brown leather like you have. It's a little similar to the couch we have in our living room. I'm anxious to see it. I wish we had our Cyclone earlier like you, but we have to wait until Thanksgiving. Brandon from the manufacturing company said it will be a 2011 model. Even though we are still in 2009, they are now starting to make the 2011 toy haulers. No difference though.

Have fun in your new Cyclone and keep in touch. Let us know of any problems or neat things you learn about it.

Spent yesterday trying to get our Cyclone ready for it's first trip next weekend. Everything is perfect. Lots of room and cabinets. Will take a few pics today and post. Here's some info you may not be aware of: I knew we didn't need a special license (non-commercial class A) to pull the Cyclone but did find out that we do need a Recreational Trailer Endorsement from the DMV (CA). Here's the link:

DMV

According to the DMV you can tow a:
5th wheel travel trailer exceeding 10,000 lbs but under 15,000 lbs, GVRW when towing is not for hire and with an endorsement.

OMG, just one more thing I have to add to the list of things we need to do and buy! Thanks so much, Anita. Hope you have time to get yours before your trip next week.

I'm so confused on this issue. I read the downloaded pdf of the manual and I read it as you don't need any thing. That and the people we bought it from said the same thing. Who knows.

Also, I've been reading posts about a water monitoring issue that says some people are showing 1/3 full of water but nothing is coming out of the tanks. This is due I guess to where they mounted the tank output. So before you go make sure you can get water of the system.

I read that first page of the manual you posted as "if you have a class c" you may tow "fifth-wheel travel trailer exceeding 10,000 lbs. but under 15,000 lbs. GVWR, when towing is not for hire and with endorsement." Then off course the recreational endorsement you spoke of says you have to take a written test.

When I was talking to the heartland rep at the rv show, he stated to me that heartland put the gvwr on the trailer at 14k to bypass people having to get these endorsement.

In the end... who knows... not me ... so I guess I should look into getting the endorsement anyways.

I think we will check with the DMV this week to figure all this out. Also, been trying to figure out how to post images. I see the image icon, but when I click it it wants a URL. My pics are on my desktop on my computer. Can't figure out how to get them here. I have also tried posting an image in my profile the image is only 200 x 150 and 89K but I keep getting error messages. Does someone know how to post images?

Our cyclone is all loaded and ready for it's first trip next weekend.

Since I started this topic I'll jump in with the ending.
I bought a 2010 3010 from Holman's in Ohio. just got home today with it. I drove from California to Ohio to pick it up. It towed very nicely and is a very well built toy hauler. I hit a storm in Oklahoma that the rain was so heavy it was almost white out. People were pulled over on the side of the road. No leaks on the Cyclone. Being from CA I've never been in anything like that.
Anyway, seems to be a good trailer so far.

So now onto trying to decide on a hitch. Any suggestions? We will be using our f250 short bed.

Using a Superglide in my GMC 2500HD. Works great.

The cyclone is wider then a normal 5th wheel at 101", so the cab clearance was an issue for me.

With my truck 90 degrees tot the trailer I have about 6-7" of clearance, with the slide all the way back. That slide movies 14" so at least with my truck it will hit.

I have pictures posted on the Heartland forum.

Our Cyclone 3010 was delivered at 6:30am today. We didn't get the outside storage drawers by the rear jacks. Also, didn't get a sub woofer. Did your Cyclone come with these features?

Hello all. We have had our 3010 since the end of July, and it may have been one of the last few to be built with the under trailer storage and the subwoofer option.

In my opinion you are better off with the extra cabinet then the subwoofer, not overly impressed and don't really need it. I think the fancy stereos and subwoofers are left over from the "bright flashy loud color" combos that toy haulers started out as - fancy rigs for the boys.

The Cyclones are a great alternative.

Check out the Cyclone forum tons of info on there for you to research.

BTW, you can order the underside storage from Lippert.
