Mine doesn't.
Oh, I'm hooking the trailer up again this weekend, I'll take some pics
The reason this is my first post, is I've been reading various threads on this forum and there sometimes seems to be a big 3 bias which could use a reality check.

Yeah, there's a guy on tundrasolutions doing basically the same thing with a big 5er. Even thought the Tundra will pull it, it doesn't follow that that's a smart thing to do.

BTW 12 K is fully loaded, including generator, fuel, hitch, gear in the trailer, etc.
The trailer is a Keystone Cougar 314 EFS, here are the specs:
These are the published specs:
Weight...................8105
Carrying Capacity....3425
Hitch ......................1370
Length.................33' 10"
Width.....................8'
Height..................11' 10"
Fresh Water 45 gal.
Waste Water 30 gal.
Gray Water 60 gal.
LPG 60
Tire Size 225/75R15D
Rim Size 15 X 6
New, it actually weighed 9,500 lbs, empty and add to it propane, extra battery, extra gear, etc. the generator and fuel is in the bed of the truck, as is the hitch of course.
12,000 lbs total weight might be a slight exaggeration, and it could be fair to add it up: hitch: 240, rails 100, generator 130, fuel 100 lbs, propane 120 lbs batteries 140lbs, the list goes on and no reasonable person would be surprised if it is between 11,000 and 12,000 lbs. I have not been on a scale with it loaded up. Would people feel better if I said 11,000 lbs??
The rated payload on this truck, with P-tires and stock springs, is about 1500 lbs. I am well aware that better tires and air bags don't change the sticker on the door, which specifies the payload certified for the truck. But I am also aware of the need to designate such numbers based upon the weakest link in the system which in this case is firstly tires and secondly springs. The rear differential with 4.3:1 and at 10.5" is 3/4 - 1 ton size, the rear bearings are beefy, the truck is very solidly designed, the drive train puts out more than the Dodge I replaced it with.
I'm not sure exactly how describing a towing experience on a towing forum constitutes a "troll" but I was curious what perception folks over here had of the Toyota and I consider myself now better informed.

Sorry. Had to point this out. I'm sure. You meant to say "Assembled" in Texas. With parts mostly from Toyota City. There is a difference. Amazing you named yourself American made.

Can you pull it? Sure you can...
Can you pull it and stop safely? Not a chance...
Way overloaded and I'm sure the future will show you how bad the truck is handling that weight...

They're all mad that their truck manufacturers couldn't cut it as a business that helps America like Toyota which employs thousands of Americans. Instead their manufacturers (with the exception of Ford) had to take our hard earned tax money to support their poorly run business and warranties hurting every American here and abroad. If they got a Toyota they wouldn't have needed to subsidize the warranties.
Ford can be included in being irresponsible by hiring too many people and now having laid off thousands of Americans, those people will not be able to pay their mortgages, they will be consuming an already dwindling unemployment fund.

American Made,
All your reasoning is good and darn near on par except one thing. You are grossly over your rear axle rating. This not only makes you a hazard to all, but illegal in every state in the union.
