Standing a mere 5 foot 8 inches in my birthday feet, I have often felt intimidated by taller folk. Be it man or woman, standing the smaller person has always rendered a physiological down-side for 'Yours Truly'.

Have you ever felt all alone/intimidated by the larger 'Bus Conversion', 'Class A' or 'Class C' motorhome owners?

Do you feel the owners of larger sized RV's have ever given you a reason to feel out-classed?

The simple is NO. We have owned DP and others, but now own a Class C. I do not care what others think. And YES, some people do act like they are better because of what they have. Just do not talk to them.

In the immortal words of Frank Lloyd Wright, "any man taller than 5'9" is just a waste of materials" ............

Not sure if you're serious, here, Jack. If you are, I would ask why only list big buses, Class As, and Class Cs as sources of intimidation? Wouldn't a big TT, toy-hauler, or 5th wheeler likewise intimidate, or is it perhaps that you feel you outclass them?

I think there may be a lot to learn from this thread that I was never cognizant of.

I think I've got that covered Burl...by the last sentence of my post:

Using others as a measuring stick usually means you're unsure of how you measure up at all.

I apologize, Jack, you're right.

For us, the answer is, no. We looked hard for 6 years before buying our small rig, so like most have said on this forum, a bigger RV is just not a highly valued thing. The big rig owners do value them. That’s it. There are no problems posed by such diversity.

Topless is right about making comparisons. And who isn’t insecure about something? I am 6’3” and never perceive the impact of my size on others. In retrospect, and as pointed out to me by others who observe better than I, it makes a difference.

My favorite bosses were big-bodied. tall guys like me, and in every case where my superiors were 6-12" shorter, there was friction. I never realized it, but friends said there was probably a ‘short syndrome' at work. Being legally blind, I never saw it!

Short, tall, skinny, fat, black, white, big rv, little rv, should really be irrelevant in our lives. Most folks react to us based on how we react to them. If you go looking for "short people syndrome" or "tall guy arrogance", or "my rv is bigger/better/cooler", I guarantee you will find it. If you don't go looking for it, you probably won't find it, because it isn't there or because the folks hide it because you treated them well.

Fact is, there IS discrimination.

A pretty girl with a super figure will spend a few seconds before someone stops to assist with a flat tire.

Fact is, in a job interview..............

But the fact is and it has been studied, none of the above matters after a relatively short time - minutes usually, hours at most.

It is who your are, your behavior. If a person has a short person personality, they will feel the effect from others. Same with an Arrogant doctor in the hospital, Unless someone feels the need to kiss the doctor's a** in order to be treated appropriately.

It is our behavior, and it happens in minutes or hours at most.

I know some very nice people who own big class A's, and I like them very much. But as a class, the big rigs appall me. All that work! And frankly, the overdone interiors make me slightly hysterical, which I feel I hide well as I sip my strawberry Daiquiri.

I guess I could say I feel the same about them as Frank Lloyd Wright (quoted above) felt about men over 5'9" : they are a waste of materials. I can do more high-quality camping and especially, traveling, than I ever could in a big rig. To each his own, but I have thought about it long and hard, and I honestly would not have anything over 25', not if you gave it to me.

So there you have it: a case of reverse snobbery. I admit it!
