IMO, it defeats the whole purpose of a B if you have to tow another vehicle.

Now I'm going to disagree. In general, we drive a lot and - although we stay in campgrounds - we don't really 'camp'. We haul our recumbent bicyles all around the country to ride. BUT I also have have a 78 VW convertible with a tow bar. The day may come I want to park the B in one spot for a week, and it would be nice to have the bug on site to drive around in - fun and convenient, so I have options.

The major reason for buying a B - for us - was flexibility, along with economy and convenience. With my B I can do everything a larger rig can (everything I might want to do, including pulling the Beetle), as well as several things a larger rig CAN'T do.

Every person has their own reasons for buying a B, so kindly don't negate them without due consideration *wink*.

We have been towing a Jeep Liberty with our Pleasureway for over two years now. Our reasons are readily available transportation when we are camped and set up for an extended period, driving through narrow dirt roads in the Pennsylvania mountains where there are low hanging tree branches, and my wife doesn't like driving the PW therefore I'm stuck going everywhere she wants to go without the Jeep.

It weighs about 4,100# and the V-10 Ford handles it very well. The biggest problem is remembering it's behind you as you really can't feel it once you get started. I tow with the Blue Ox Aventa LX and for braking, the Brake Buddy Classic and have had no problems with either of them.

by Can-Am. Called the Spyder can be pulled backwards without any problem. Now we need an enclosure to make it all weather.
