Yea, but do the help with dreaded TC static cling?
Interesting! I winder if the would effect the light from the fire flies?

I use a pressure washer to remove the bugs from my TC. Usually, I will use (spray) the WalMart bug remover on the bug area first. Probably a cheap meat tenderizer, then I use my pressure washer.

I used the Rejex wax on the front of my camper......it does help ,somewhat, with the bugs not sticking but I still have to use Bounce dryer sheets to remove the really tough ones.

Our Maine mosquitos will take on any mosquito in the country - well maybe not Alaska. The constant hum in the background lately is the skeets waiting for you to come outside to weed.

Home less then a week and already itching to hit the road again.

Seems to work best if you don't "soak the bugs first with too much water" In other words = dry clean only

Got about half way done on the front, then rinsed and pre-rinsed the other half AGAIN ... ugh, even with more muscle those little buggers weren't budging as good as before even tried letting them "dry out" and broke out several new sheets BUT still a pain. Finally got out the dollar store Awesome {which might not be as good for the finish} but it got the rest of the residue off, all nice and shiny bright

USED bounce works best for us. The new unused ones seem to have to much "soap" or antistatic guard. Oh and they make great dust cloths too.

Just a reminder that the Tall Ships are coming to Halifax if you're really
itching to hit the road again.... Starts July l6th. We're going to head
down if the weather holds.

TwoManiacs, It is really too bad when after a long trip in the TC we get the itch almost immediately after returning home! It took me less than a week after my 2 month journey to decide I should still be on the road. As for the bugs, I found that "Greased Lightning" works well. Spray on, let sit a minute or so, then scrub lightly with a bit of nylon "mosquito netting" material and rinse.
Thanks again for showing us the way west!

I use Greased Lightning for a lot of cleaning chores but not on the gelcoat surface of the TC. No real knowledge that it would "eat" it but don't want to take a chance. Yes used Bounce sheets work best. Save them up all winter but this last TC trip used up most of them.

We'll make a short trip up to Kingsbrae Gardens in St. Andrews, New Brunswick soon. Might just try to combine it with the Tall Ships/

Does it have to be Bounce dryer sheets or does any brand work? I know dumb question but had to ask.
